I'm not gonna say I invented rap music, but I was there when it happened!

What's poppin?  Today's post is gonna be kinda short...sorry if that disappoints you :(  Anyways, so one day I was bored, and I decided to write a rap!  Though you may be thinking, "Wow A.J. is the complete opposite of a gangster, especially with the pale white skin and blonde hair!"  But I hope that this proves to all of you that I truly do have a "GANGSTA" side!  So what did I rap about....something super cool and hardcore?  Nah, I wrote a rap about Disney Princesses :)

Disney Princess Rap

Oh, girl you are my princess in everything you do
I finally found that girl who fit in the crystal shoe
You know I could be your charming prince, and I promise you I will
Be your knight in shining armor, yes this is how I feel

I would fight a dragon for you with my sword and shield
Travel across the ocean or across the battlefield
I'd rescue your from danger or save you with a kiss
My happily ever after can't get any better than this

Have you ever been on a magic carpet ride?
My whole new world is nothing without you by my side
No I don't need a magic lamp or a wish up a star
Because my happily ever after is right there where you are

I would fight a dragon for you with my sword and shield
Travel across the ocean or across the battlefield
I'd rescue your from danger or save you with a kiss
My happily ever after can't get any better than this.

So I just realized that there is no apparent order to the things I post on the blog, but "if I post it, people will come!"  haha Let me know what you think about my rapping skills.

I gotta bounce...peace out playas!

Half Marathon Story Time

This past weekend I ran a half marathon on Kiawah Island in South Carolina....I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty sweet!  But my actual story is quite boring, so I am going to share a fictional story called "AJ:  The Little Boy Who Once Ran A Marathon," written by Samantha Draughon, Chandler Draughon, Stephanie Hansen, and myself.  Just a quick back story....this was done by sending text messages back and forth on the ride home from the marathon.

AJ:  The Little Boy Who Once Ran A Marathon
Once upon a time, there was a small small boy with a big big dream and a big big heart to back it up.  One afternoon, with little preparation, he set off to make his dream come true with the help of his new friend Samantha!  In the morning they got ready at a slow pace, put on their shoes, and got ready to race.  AJ with a nervous smile and butterflies in his tummy hoped to run quickly and not look like a dummy.  All of the sudden the gun fired, and AJ took off running, feeling oh so good until he looked back to see he had lost Samantha in the crowd dun dun duuuuuun.  What fear filled his soul for Samantha had his back, and he had to find her for with out her he might die of a heart attack...and that would be bad.  So he turned around and began his search.  He looked high, and he looked low, but mostly low because she was kind of small;  He looked far and wide, but mostly wide because she was kind of wide.  Was she caught by an alligator?  His heart began to pace.  Was she kidnapped?  Was there someone he needed to chase?  Or was she pretending to be lost, so she could beat AJ in the race?  At mile five he saw it, Samantha's blue pull-over flung upon the grass, and then he knew in his heart he had been deceived  but with anger building, his legs began to sprint forward and his feet peddled faster.  Ironically on his I-pod the song "she's so mean" was playing and upon hearing the song, he realized that though he had been fooled, she was actually helping him run faster.  With visions of crossing the finish line in his mind and run it pounding in his ears he finished the race in record time only to find that Samantha had collapsed from heat exhaustion at mile six.  "Oh no," he yelled out to the crowd, "I must go rescue her!"  He then ran back to Samantha, and upon arrival he saw her laying down, so he knelt down beside her and said in a low whisper "so are you going to get up or do I need to call for help?"  She then awoke and without even saying hello began to run again as if nothing had happened.  AJ then had a decision to make, he could be the bigger man and run with her and help her finish the race, or he could say nana nana boo boo I already finished.  And if you remember, AJ was a very small boy.  After a few moments of pondering he came to the decision that he should run with her, in order to overcome the small stereotype that overshadowed him.  He grabbed her hand and together they crossed the finish line.  His big dream became a reality, and he gained more than just physical endurance, his heart grew three sizes that day.  The End.

The words in bold were written by the ladies, and the normal font was written by me!  This is probably the best story I have ever read....so you better like it, or else :/

Alright that is all for this week, so please be prepared to have your minds blown again next week by another amazing blog post.  I'm gonna be updating this bad boy every Tuesday, so check in if you are actually interested in all things awesome!  :)

Stay classy!

Hello World!

Ok...I guess to start off I should introduce myself to everyone.  HEY!  My name is Alexander Jordan Rupp, I am 21 years old, and I just started this blogging thing today on a whim.  Yes I do realize that blogging may not be the most "manly" thing to be doing in my free time, but hey whatever.  I guess the reason why I am doing this is just to start a little history for myself to see how I do on the goals I am setting for my life, and so I can talk about other super random things that happen in my life.  I don't really have to much to say right now...so what I'm gonna do is put the first ever poem I wrote called "Ode to Taco Bell," and who knows, maybe this will help me become a famous writer someday!?

Ode to Taco Bell:

O most hispanic tasty treat.
The only time I will eat Grade-D meat.
My favorite food is pretty swell.
And it comes from the casa under the bell.

What could be better than tacos and a drink?
I enter the room and there is no need to think.
I tell the man what I need, and he places my order.
And now I feel like I'm crossing the border.

My food has arrived, and I'm ecstatic.
I quickly search for the mild sauce packet.
As I unwrap my meal so full of delight.
I know I won't go to bed hungry tonight.

(snap, snap, snap, snap)

Alright, that is all for my first blog, but have no fear, the blogging adventures of A.J. Rupp will surely continue!

This is A.J. Rupp...peace out!
